FUTA University Health Centre Honours Vice-Chancellor

The Management and Staff of the University Health Centre, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), have presented an Award of Appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike T. Oladiji, FAS, in recognition of her exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions to the development of the Health Centre.

The Management and Staff of the University Health Centre, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), have presented an Award of Appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike T. Oladiji, FAS, in recognition of her exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions to the development of the Health Centre.

The award was presented during an appreciation visit to the Vice-Chancellor on Friday, 23 January 2026, by the Management and Staff of the University Health Centre, led by the Acting Director, Dr. Olufemi Famuyiwa.

According to the Health Centre’s management, the honour acknowledges Professor Oladiji’s unwavering support, visionary leadership, and sustained commitment to improving healthcare delivery within the University community. They noted that her administration has significantly strengthened the Centre’s capacity, infrastructure, and quality of service delivery.

Presenting the award, representatives of the Health Centre—including the Acting Director, Dr. Famuyiwa, a senior nurse, Mrs. Folasade Adekunle, and the Deputy Director, Dr. Emmanuel Onyema—expressed deep appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for prioritising staff welfare and healthcare development. They described her support as instrumental to the Centre’s growth and operational efficiency.

In her response, Professor Oladiji thanked the Management and Staff for the recognition and commended their dedication and professionalism. She reaffirmed the University’s commitment to continuous improvement of healthcare services and to ensuring a healthy and supportive environment for staff and students of FUTA.
