FUTIA Unveils Academic Calendar for 2025/2026 Session

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has released the academic calendar for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session, outlining key dates for registration, lectures, and late penalties to ensure a smooth start for both new and returning students.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Leo Daniel, on behalf of the university management, welcomed all students back to campus and wished them success in their studies.

- Screening and registration for fresh students: Monday, October 6, 2025

- Returning undergraduate students report for course registration: Monday, October 13, 2025

- Lectures begin for returning undergraduate students: Monday, October 20, 2025

- Lectures begin for fresh students: Tuesday, October 21, 2025

- Late registration with penalty for returning students: Monday, October 27, 2025 – Sunday, November 2, 2025 (2 weeks)

- Late registration with penalty for fresh students: Monday, November 3, 2025 – Sunday, November 16, 2025 (2 weeks)
