The management of the Gombe State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Kaltungo, has officially announced the commencement of the sale of application forms for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The institution is inviting qualified candidates to apply for a range of specialized medical and health programs, which include a Postgraduate Diploma, Higher National Diplomas, and various tracks in Community Health Extension work.
Prospects looking to advance into postgraduate training can apply for the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health Education and Promotion, provided they hold an M.Sc., B.Sc., or HND in a health-related discipline. For the Higher National Diploma tracks in Environmental Health Technology, Health Information Management, and Nutrition and Dietetics, candidates must possess a National Diploma in their respective fields, alongside a valid JAMB admission letter or evidence of regularization, and a certified SIWES completion certificate.

The institution’s community health tracks carry strict O'Level requirements to maintain professional standards. The standard Community Health Extension Worker course requires five credits in English language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry across a maximum of two sittings in WAEC or NECO. The Returning Course variant requires these same five credits alongside a valid Junior Community Health Extension Worker certificate. Meanwhile, entry into the Junior Community Health Extension Worker course requires a minimum of three credits in English language, Mathematics, and Biology, along with credits or passes in Physics and Chemistry across no more than two sittings.
The official screening exercise for all qualified applicants is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 1, 2026, and will run through Friday, July 17, 2026.
