Gombe State University Formally Admits 4,258 Students for 2025/2026 Academic Session

Gombe State University (GSU) held its official matriculation ceremony on Monday, March 30, 2026, marking the formal induction of 4,258 new students into various academic programmes for the 2025/2026 session.

The event, hosted at the University’s Convocation Square, served as the ceremonial commencement of the students' academic journeys and their integration into the institution's scholarly community.

In his keynote address, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sani Ahmed Yauta, congratulated the matriculants while underscoring the dual necessity of academic rigor and moral integrity. He reminded the students that a university degree is a testament to both "learning and character," urging them to remain disciplined and law-abiding throughout their stay.

The Registrar, Dr. Abubakar Ali Bafeto, opened the proceedings by encouraging the new intake to embrace the vast opportunities provided by the institution with total commitment.
