FUAMB Holds Second Orientation Ceremony for 2025/2026 Academic Session
The Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi (FUAMB), officially welcomed its newest cohort of students during its Second Orientation Ceremony on Monday, March 30, 2026. The event, held at the university’s temporary academic site, underscored the institution’s rapid growth and its unwavering commitment to producing well-rounded graduates.
The orientation served as a strategic platform to integrate hundreds of newly admitted students into the university’s culture. Prof. Bamidele Zira Danquah, Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized that the programme is essential for equipping students with the knowledge required to navigate campus life and meet institutional expectations.
University management used the occasion to outline the pillars of a successful tenure at FUAMB:
Academic Discipline: The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bitrus Dawi Tarfa, commended the staff for a successful admission cycle and urged students to maintain strict punctuality and cooperation with their lecturers.
Administrative Guidance: The Registrar, Mrs. Fatima Saidu Bashir, provided a comprehensive overview of the university’s administrative structure, advising students to stay informed and disciplined in all official dealings.
Research and Resources: The University Librarian, Dr. Yahuza Aliyu, highlighted the institution's robust library system, particularly the E-Library, as a critical tool for modern research and academic excellence.
Deans and faculty heads reiterated that the university's mandate extends beyond the classroom. Lectures focused on the grading system, academic requirements, and the necessity of maintaining high moral standards. The recurring theme of the day was the development of "learning and character," ensuring students graduate as disciplined professionals in their respective fields.
