ICPC Inaugurates Anti-Corruption Unit at FUTH Lafia to Bolster Transparency
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has today inaugurated a 10-member Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) for the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lafia, marking a significant step toward strengthening transparency and accountability within the institution.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Medical Director Dr. Ikrama Hassan welcomed the ICPC delegation from the Benue State Command, expressing the need for ACTU in the hospital and the desire of the FUTH management to be on the right track and avoid making mistakes.
The oath was administered by Barrister Anas Mohammed Kolo, who emphasized that the fight against corruption is a collective responsibility, adding that ICPC serves as an anti-corruption watchdog in Federal MDAs while urging the hospital to effectively utilize the ACTU platform to curb corruption.
The chairman of the ACTU committee, Dr. Tajudeen Lanre Ibrahim in a vote of thanks appreciated the hospital management and ICPC for entrusting members with the responsibility.
