JAMB Delists Four CBT Centres, Arrests 27 Impersonators During UTME
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has delisted four Computer-Based Testing (CBT) centres for failing to meet technical standards required for the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The affected centres include:Adventure Associate, Kano, Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Kano,Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd., Centre 1 and Centre 2, Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.
Candidates previously scheduled to take their exams at these centres are advised to reprint their examination notification slips to access their new centres and rescheduled dates.
JAMB also reported the arrest of 27 impersonators, who have been handed over to the Nigeria Police for prosecution.
900,000 candidates had completed the UTME out of 2,083,600 registered for the 2025 examination.
JAMB addressed the incident at Caleb University, where candidates wearing hijabs faced unauthorized restrictions. The Board took swift action, and the university's Vice-Chancellor condemned the actions of the security officer. JAMB apologized to the affected candidates and commended the centre and university leadership for their prompt intervention.
