JUPEB National Monitoring Team Storms UNIZIK for Comprehensive Programme Assessment

The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Monitoring Team has arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the institution’s JUPEB programm as part of its ongoing oversight and compliance assessment of JUPEB programmes in Nigerian universities.

During a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Team Leader, Elijah Oyeyemi, revealed that the exercise is aimed at evaluating the university’s compliance with JUPEB standards.

He explained that the team would tour facilities and interact with both staff and students to gauge the effectiveness of programme delivery and congratulated the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, on his recent appointment, applauding the visible strides made within a short time in office.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the visit and reaffirmed UNIZIK’s commitment to upholding JUPEB standards. He assured the team of the university’s full cooperation to ensure a smooth and successful monitoring process.

The delegation includes Mrs. Odiri Ogbinaka (JUPEB National Office), Chidi Emmanuel Akunne (Director, JUPEB UNIZIK), Henry S. Ojukwu, Temple N. Nwankwo, Lucy Onebunne, and Blessing Chijindu Ezeobi (Deputy Registrar I, JUPEB UNIZIK).
