JUPEB Registrar Leads Accreditation Exercise for Proposed Centre at AFUED

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), Professor Ademola Adeleke, on Monday, July 27, 2026, led an accreditation exercise for a proposed JUPEB centre at Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo.

Receiving the JUPEB delegation on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of AFUED, Professor Bayode Isaiah Popoola, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Ireti Folasade Alao, expressed appreciation to the team and described the visit as a positive development.

She reiterated the University's commitment to the successful implementation of the JUPEB programme at AFUED.

"We are delighted to have this programme in our institution. AFUED remains committed to providing necessary support to ensure the success of the JUPEB programme. We will always give our best to sustain the high standards expected of the programme," she remarked.

In his remarks, the JUPEB Registrar and CEO, Professor Ademola Adeleke, described AFUED as a foremost institution with an enviable legacy of academic excellence.

"AFUED is an old institution with a rich pedigree of high educational standards. As one of the Nigerian's leading institutions, it has produced countless global scholars and captains of industry, while consistently maintaining its relevance in the nation's educational landscape," he said.

Also speaking, the Director of the Directorate of Education Support Services (DESS), AFUED, Dr. Akinola Ojo Olukayode, appreciated the University Management for its unwavering support to the Directorate.

He commended the JUPEB accreditation team led by Professor Ademola Adeleke for considering the University as one of the institutions for the establishment of a JUPEB centre.

Dr. Olukayode also praised Professor Adeleke for conducting what he described as a thorough, transparent and unbiased accreditation exercise, while expressing the Directorate's desire to maintain strong collaboration between JUPEB and the University.

The accreditation exercise featured an inspection of key facilities provided by the University, including lecture halls, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre and science laboratories, among others.

A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of the current JUPEB syllabus by Professor Ademola Adeleke to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ireti Folasade Alao, signalling the formal commencement of academic collaboration between JUPEB and AFUED.

Members of the JUPEB delegation included the Programme Director, Professor Funmilayo Oladipupo, and the Principal Administrative Officer and Personal Assistant to the Registrar/CEO, JUPEB, Mrs. Agnes Jegede.

Also present were the Deputy Director, Directorate of Education Support Services, AFUED, Dr. Temitope Oyebanji, and an Assistant Registrar from the Directorate, Mr. Akinnehin Moses Ayodele.
