The statement read in part: “To the family and friends, please know that the entire school community mourns with you. May Allah grant you the strength to bear this loss and may Khadeejah rest in perfect peace.”

As news of her passing spread across the institution, classmates and departmental stakeholders offered prayers, invoking Islamic funeral rites (Innalillahi wa'inna illahi raji'un—Surely we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return), asking for comfort for her immediate family and friends.

The student union and departmental leaders have indicated plans to pay a formal condolence visit to the family of the deceased to offer institutional solidarity during this period of bereavement.
