Kanuri Global Cultural Association Visits BOSU Vice Chancellor

The Kanuri Global Cultural Association, has paid a courtesy visit on Professor Babagana Gutti, Vice Chancellor Borno State University (BOSU).

 

The delegation, led by its President, Alhaji Kuri Ali, congratulated the VC on his appointment, describing it as well deserved.

 

Alhaji Ali introduced the Association, highlighting its 12-year history of promoting Kanuri cultural values and unity among diaspora communities.

He emphasized on their mission which is to Among others, preserve and promote Kanuri norms and traditions.

In his response, the VC BOSU, Professor Babagana Gutti welcomed the visitors and assured of his support for promoting the Kanuri cultural heritage.

 

He announced plans to establish a Department of Kanuri Studies at BOSU and advised the Association to continue its outreach, aimed at collaborating with Alhaji Dr Mohammadu Indimi, a renowned promoter of Kanuri cultural values to achieve their goals.
