Kogi State Polytechnic Community Mourns as Software & Web Development Alumna, Hadiza, Passes On

The student community and alumni of Kogi State Polytechnic are in mourning following the sudden passing of Hadiza (popularly known as Anti Hadiza), a distinguished member of the Class of 2025.

Hadiza was a recent graduate of the Department of Software and Web Development, where she completed her Higher National Diploma (HND) in 2025. News of her passing, which occurred yesterday, has been described by colleagues and friends as a "great shock" and an "irreparable loss" to the institution.

In a heartfelt joint statement, Umar Mukhtar Umar (Presidor)—the NACOSS President and SUG Social Director of the Kano State Polytechnic (SOT Chapter) 2025—expressed deep sorrow on behalf of their shared academic circle.

"She was not just our coursemate; she was a kind, humble, and dedicated sister," the statement read. "Her memories, good character, and the moments we shared will always remain in our hearts."

The leadership offered prayers for the repose of her soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus (Paradise).
