KWASU HoldCo Convenes Strategic Retreat on Revenue Generation, Sustainable Energy

KWASU HoldCo, on Saturday, May 9, 2026, held a one-day retreat to discuss ways to improve operational efficiency, increase revenue generation, and sustain the University’s reputation for academic and research excellence. 

Emphasis was on the need to improve power supply in the University through alternative and sustainable energy solutions as participants noted that stable electricity was essential for effective teaching, learning, research, and administrative activities.

The retreat featured presentations on institutional development and sustainable growth initiatives and participants expressed confidence that the resolutions reached would further reposition KWASU for greater growth and strengthen its standing as a leading institution committed to excellence in academics and research.

The retreat, which was held at the Emirates Global Hotel and Suites, Flower Garden, GRA, Ilorin, had the Chairman of KWASU HoldCo, Professor Kenneth Adeyemi; the Alternate Chairman, Professor Mubaraq Sanni; Dr. Sunday Ojo; Dr. Mope Isiaka; Dr. Mustapha Abdulrahman; Dr. Mustapha Abdulrazaq and Dr. Folorunsho Quadri in attendance.

Also present were Dr. Lukman Adam; Mr. Yaqub Omotosho Yaqub; Mrs. Hassanat Adebayo; Mrs. Adejoke Adeniyi-Jackson, and Mr. Abubakar Danbornu.

Others are Professor Adesina Mutalub Lambe; Professor Adeniyi Ganiyu Adeogun; Engineer Azeez Akande; and Engineer Musbau Ogundipe.
