Lagos State University Celebrates Rahmat Alade: A Trailblazing Engineer and Student Leader

Lagos State University (LASU) is proud to spotlight Rahmat Alade, a 400-level student of Electronics and Computer Engineering, whose academic excellence and leadership have earned her national recognition and a prestigious internship at the MTN Headquarters in Lagos.

Rahmat has become a symbol of excellence within the Faculty of Engineering, breaking barriers and setting new records for female representation in STEM.

Rahmat’s dedication to her craft is reflected in her impressive portfolio of scholarships, which includes the NNPC/Chevron JV Scholarship, the MTN Foundation Scholarship, and the NEXUS Energy Scholarship.

Currently, she is honing her professional skills as an intern at MTN, a position she secured through persistence and a proven track record in UI/UX Design and technical innovation. Her journey serves as a powerful reminder that consistency and a refusal to settle for mediocrity are the keys to professional success.

An eloquent public speaker and event host, Rahmat remains committed to pushing the limits of what is possible for female engineers in Nigeria. She believes in continuous growth and encourages her peers to strive for impact beyond the four walls of the university.
