The Lagos State University (LASU) community has welcomed its 10th Substantive Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ayodeji Olawunmi Badejo, FCASSON, FAPROCON, MNAE, as she assumes office as the Chief Executive and Academic Head of the University.
Professor Badejo assumed office today, Monday, 21 September 2026, marking a significant milestone in the history of the University and the commencement of a new administration.
Her assumption of office builds on the achievements of previous administrations while opening new pathways for growth, innovation and excellence at the University.
As Professor Badejo takes up the mantle of leadership, the University community looks forward to her experience, vision and commitment in advancing LASU’s core mandates of teaching, research, innovation and community service.
The University Management, Senate, staff, students, alumni and other stakeholders have warmly welcomed the 10th Substantive Vice-Chancellor and expressed their anticipation of a new chapter of purposeful leadership and continued institutional advancement.
