LASUED VC Urges MSSN Students to Balance Academic and Non-Academic Life

The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos State University (LASU) Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, on Friday, 12 December 2025.

LASUED VC Urges MSSN Students to Balance Academic and Non-Academic Life

The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos State University (LASU) Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, on Friday, 12 December 2025.

In her address, Professor Lafiaji-Okuneye commended the students for their physical and spiritual support and encouraged them to remain steadfast in faith while upholding good moral values. She reminded them of their responsibility as ambassadors of both the institution and society. The Vice-Chancellor also cautioned students against activities that could negatively affect their academic progress.

She further emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between academic and non-academic engagements and advised students to seek parental guidance in making decisions that could impact their present and future.

Representing the MSSN delegation, the Amir expressed sincere gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for her warm reception. He noted that the visit was aimed at appreciating her continued support for the association and drawing inspiration from her wealth of experience as a respected educator. The delegation assured that the guidance and advice received would be cherished and applied in their daily lives.
