A 300-level Mechanical Engineering student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Adekunle Ayomide, has emerged as the National Champion of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria Public Speaking and Debating Championship.

A 300-level Mechanical Engineering student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Adekunle Ayomide, has emerged as the National Champion of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria Public Speaking and Debating Championship.

The national finals were held on October 11, 2025, in Akure, Ondo State, where Ayomide triumphed over the Northern and Southern regional representatives to clinch the top position.

Ayomide’s journey to the national stage began two months earlier when he won the Oyo State collegiate round, earning his place among the country’s best young speakers.
