Margaret Lawrence University VC Urges New Students to Uphold High Standards
The Vice-Chancellor of Margaret Lawrence University, Abuja, has charged newly admitted students to prioritize academic excellence and maintain high ethical standards as they commence their higher education journey.
Addressing the freshers during the university’s orientation programme, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the institution is committed to nurturing both intellectual growth and moral integrity. He urged the students to remain focused on their primary objectives, noting that the foundation they lay in their first year will significantly define their future professional success.
"Your journey here is a unique opportunity to transform your potential into expertise," the VC stated. He further advised the students to be wary of distractions and to engage actively in the university’s research and community-building initiatives.
The call comes as the private varsity continues to position itself as a centre for innovation and character development within the Federal Capital Territory. Faculty heads and administrative leads also encouraged the new intakes to utilize the institution’s state-of-the-art facilities and seek mentorship from their academic advisors to navigate the rigours of university life successfully.
