MSSN Gombe State University Branch Mourns Passing of HISBAH Official, Binta Umar Aliyu

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Gombe State University (GSU) Branch, has expressed profound grief following the passing of one of its devoted members and an official of the HISBAH body, Binta Umar Aliyu.

In a heartfelt condolence message issued on Thursday, March 26, 2026, the student body described her departure as a significant loss to the university’s Muslim community and the HISBAH corps.

Funeral Arrangements

In accordance with Islamic rites, the Janaza (Funeral) Prayer for the deceased is scheduled as follows:

A Message of Solace

The leadership of MSSN GSU urged members, friends, and family to take solace in the divine decree of Allah (SWT). "Indeed, every soul shall taste death, and no matter how painful, we take wisdom in the decree of Allah, who knows best," the statement read.

On behalf of the entire membership, the MSSN leadership extended deepest sympathies to the Aliyu family and the HISBAH organization, offering the following prayers:

That Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings and expands her grave.

That she be granted Al-Jannatul Firdaus (the highest paradise).

That the grieving family be granted the Sabr (patience) and strength to bear this irreparable loss. 

The society concluded by reminding the student community of the transient nature of life, praying that this loss serves as a means of spiritual elevation for the deceased.
