NAOSS-UDUS holds Orientation Program for Fresh Students

The National Association of Osun State Student (NAOSS), UDUS Chapter under the administration of Olaoti Ayuba Toyin (Ayofe) held an Orientation Program for the freshly admitted students from Osun state today March 9, 2025 at PTF Hall by 11:00 AM.

 

According to the organizers, the orientation aimed to equip new students for their academic journey, familiarize them with the campus environment and ensure they understand the university's rules and regulations. Additionally, the program provided insights into how students could seek solutions to challenges they might encounter.

 

The event commenced with the recitation of the National Anthem to instill patriotism and nationalism followed by the Osun State Anthem.

As a form of entertainment, Asa and Oriki (Cultural Chants and Eulogy) were performed to celebrate and preserve the rich heritage of Osun State. A brief history of the state was also narrated to familiarize students with their origin.

 

The senior members of each faculty addressed the new students, discussing the Do's and Don't of their respective faculties. One of the most anticipated discussions was the calculation of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) which was explained in details to ensure clarity.

During the Question and Answer session, questions pertaining to privacy and security breaches on campus were asked.  The Chief Librarian of UDUS, Dr. Kudirat Abiola  responded with satisfactory answers, guiding students on how to address such issues effectively.

 

The program ended with a photography session, allowing participants to reconnect before departing.
