While acknowledging the right to peaceful demonstration, the NUC emphasized the need for universities to implement measures to ensure the safety and security of their communities.
Vice-Chancellors are instructed to take proactive steps to safeguard their institutions and to issue statements reassuring staff and students of their safety.
The NUC also advises students to remain on campus and concentrate on their studies to minimize exposure to any potential dangers arising from the planned protests.
