Nigerian Defence Academy Celebrates Historic Achievement of Lt Changfe Maigari

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) is beaming with pride as one of its own, Lt ( NN) Changfe Maigari, makes history as the first female pilot in the Nigerian Navy. This remarkable achievement is a testament to Maigari's dedication, perseverance, and passion for flying.

 

Maigari's journey began in 2016 when she graduated from the NDA and was commissioned as a Sub Lieutenant. She subsequently served aboard the Nigerian Navy Ship Unity and completed her basic pilot training, fulfilling all requirements to become a certified pilot.

The NDA is proud to have played a significant role in Maigari's achievement. As one of the first 20 female regular cadets trained at the NDA, Maigari's success is an inspiration to female officer cadets and indeed all Nigerian girls.
