NIPR Ondo State Chapter Visits FUTA, Commends VC Professor Adenike Oladiji’s Leadership

The visit provided an avenue to discuss collaboration opportunities between academia and the public relations profession. Mr. Funmilayo Ikueduranni, Chapter Chair, lauded FUTA for producing “good ambassadors” and maintaining “a culture of professionalism and excellence.” He also praised Professor Oladiji for her “simplicity coupled with academic prowess,” describing her achievements as “laudable and in the public glare.”
Professor Oladiji, in her remarks, emphasized the importance of human capital in institutional success, noting that “human capital is a lot more than money.” She commended FUTA staff for their commitment and highlighted plans to expand the university’s academic offerings to include humanities programmes, particularly in journalism, to enhance communication and marketing of scientific research. She also underscored the need for closer collaboration with communication experts to amplify the societal impact of FUTA’s research.

The visit concluded with both parties affirming their commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration, professional development in public relations, and leveraging research for community benefits, reinforcing the shared goal of excellence in education, research, and professional practice.
