Edo State University Iyamho VC Honoured for Transformational Leadership by Medical Students Association

Prof. Victor Olawale Adetimirin, Vice Chancellor of Edo State University, Iyamho, has been presented with an Award of Excellence by the Edo State University Iyamho Medical Students’ Association (ESUIMSA) in recognition of his remarkable achievements and transformational leadership since assuming office.

The award presentation, held on 11th December 2025, was led by ESUIMSA President Mr. Gbonoba Abel, alongside Executive Council members Imoakhuede O. Kelvin (General Secretary), Falana Oluwasegun (Treasurer), and Obiorhoma Anne Ogheneruro (Assistant General Secretary). They commended the Vice Chancellor’s efforts in driving significant progress across the University and pledged to continue promoting the positive impact of his administration to students and the public.

In his remarks, Prof. Adetimirin expressed gratitude for the recognition and highlighted that within less than four months in office, the University has recorded notable advancements in key areas. He reaffirmed his commitment to providing world-class facilities and a conducive learning environment, consistent with the vision of the institution’s founders.

The Vice Chancellor also encouraged students to remain exemplary ambassadors of the University, upholding its values in all spheres of life.
