NNPC/Renaissance JV Extends Aret Adams Professorial Chair Partnership with UniPort

The University of Port Harcourt today hosted a delegation from Renaissance Africa Energy Company Ltd. for the annual audit and monitoring of the NNPC/Renaissance JV – Aret Adams Professorial Chair in Petroleum Engineering. The team was led by Prof. Kenneth Nweke, accompanied by Mr. Victor Hart.

The delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, represented by the DVC (R&D), Prof. Angela Ine Frank-Briggs, where both parties reviewed ongoing activities and discussed expectations for the next phase. Renaissance Africa Energy commended UniPort Management for the sustained cordial relationship and reaffirmed its commitment to mentoring students and supporting academic excellence. The company also confirmed the extension of the Chair’s MOU for another four years.

Responding, Prof. Frank-Briggs appreciated the company for its long-standing partnership and assured that UniPort will continue to ensure the Chair delivers on its mandate through quality teaching, training, and impactful research targeted at developing skilled manpower for the oil and gas sector.
