The marathon attracted support from Kano residents, fellow artisans, social media influencers and university students, many of whom turned up to encourage him.

Although Basri has completed the challenge, Guinness World Records has yet to officially confirm whether his attempt qualifies for recognition.

His initiative highlights how personal skills can be used to support children from financially disadvantaged families and promote access to education.
