The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has received a prestigious leadership recognition from the Nasarawa State Government in honour of her exemplary and pragmatic leadership of the University.

Professor Liman was honoured on Wednesday, 30th September, 2026, at a Dinner and Awards Night organised by the State Government at the Aliyu Akwe Banquet Hall, Lafia, as part of activities marking the 30th Anniversary of the creation of Nasarawa State.

The recognition celebrates Professor Liman’s leadership and contributions to the advancement of education and human capital development in Nasarawa State, particularly as the first female Vice-Chancellor in the history of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

Under her leadership, NSUK has continued to pursue institutional transformation through strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening academic excellence, infrastructural development, innovation, staff and student welfare, as well as national and international partnerships.

Professor Liman’s administration has also placed emphasis on positioning the University as a competitive centre of learning, research and innovation, while strengthening its contribution to the socio-economic development of Nasarawa State and beyond.

The recognition formed part of the State Government’s efforts to celebrate distinguished individuals and institutions whose contributions have shaped the development of Nasarawa State over the past three decades.

The high-profile event attracted former Governors of Nasarawa State, political leaders, traditional rulers, academics, business leaders and other distinguished personalities from within and outside the State.

For the NSUK community, the honour bestowed on Professor Liman represents a recognition of both her leadership and the collective efforts of the University’s Management, staff and students towards advancing the institution’s mission.
