NUC Accreditation Team Visits UNIDEL for Peace and Conflict Resolution Programme
The National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation team led by Prof. Abdulrauf Ambali, from the Kwara State University, has visited the University of Delta, (UNIDEL), for the accreditation of the Department of Peace and Conflict Resolution.
During a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor in her office, the Team Lead, who prayed for the success of the Prof. Stella Chiemeke led administration, said they came to the University to conduct a peer review exercise, with a view to improve on the academic performance of the Department of Peace and Conflict and not a witch hunting mission.
While welcoming the team, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the visitors for coming to UNIDEL, and praised the pragmatic stance of the Executive Secretary of the NUC, for ensuring that all universities in the country were adhering to the quality and standard expected of them.
Prof. Chiemeke assured the team to that the Department of Peace and Conflict Resolution was ready for them, and prayed that at the end of the accreditation exercise, it "would be a win-win situation for UNIDEL and the NUC team".
Other Management staff present at the visit included Prof. Patricia Mbah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Barr. Richmond Omagbemi, the Registrar, Dr. Sunny Ikeogwu, the Bursar, and Dr. Mrs. Vera Okonoko, the University Librarian.
Also at the visit were Prof . Patrick Ijeh, Dean, Faculty of Social Science, Director of Academic Planning, Dr Felicia Mormah, Dr. Clement Obagbinoko and Dr. Onwordi Temishi Mary, among others.
