NUJ Ondo Honours FUTA Vice-Chancellor with Distinguished Educationist and Administrator Award

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, has conferred the Award of Excellence as Distinguished Educationist and Administrator of the Year 2025 on the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Professor Adenike Oladiji.

The prestigious honour was presented during the PEN-GANZA and Award Night held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the NUJ Press Centre, Alagbaka, Akure, as part of activities marking the 2025 Press and Media Week. Professor Oladiji was represented at the event by the Director, Corporate Communication and Protocol of FUTA, Mr Adegbenro Adebanjo.

In presenting the award, the NUJ commended Professor Oladiji for her outstanding contributions to the advancement of education in Nigeria and her exemplary performance as a university administrator. The union described the recognition as one of the most credible and prestigious honours in Ondo State, citing her integrity, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
