The announcement was made in a statement issued in Abuja by the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs. Caroline Embu.
According to the statement, the three-week orientation exercise will be held simultaneously across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Orientation camps are expected to open on April 22 for the reception and registration of prospective corps members, while registration will close at midnight on April 24.
The swearing-in ceremony is also slated for April 24, marking the formal commencement of orientation activities nationwide.

The exercise is expected to conclude on May 12, after which corps members will proceed to their respective places of primary assignment.
The scheme advised prospective corps members to prioritise their safety while travelling to orientation camps, urging them to avoid night journeys and adhere strictly to security guidelines.
Participants were specifically instructed to break their journeys by 6:00 p.m. where necessary and continue the trip the following morning from a safe location.
The NYSC noted that the advisory is aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the orientation period.
