According to Chika, a graduate of Architecture and Environmental Design, she was motivated to undertake the project after observing the lack of proper waste disposal facilities in most market places, which poses a threat to sanitation and hygiene.

The project, tagged "Revamping Makurdi," focuses on waste management and aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6 and 15, which aim to ensure clean water and sanitation.
