Oki Praise Olatide has achieved a remarkable academic milestone, graduating with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Nursing Science from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Nigeria.

Olatide achieved an impressive Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.54 out of 5.00 and has since been inducted into the Society of Registered Nurses and Midwives.

Olatide's journey to the top of her class was defined by extraordinary perseverance and determination. Reflecting on her path, she shared the challenges she faced, beginning with arriving at LAUTECH and renting an apartment purely on faith that she would secure admission, leaning heavily on her parents' support.

Her initial admission was for Biochemistry. Driven by a strong calling to pursue a nursing career, she took the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams again and eventually secured a cross-over into the Department of Nursing Science.

The transition was challenging: she crossed into Nursing just 30 days before her 200-level semester examinations, forcing her to learn an entirely new curriculum from scratch while managing the complex new-student registration process.

"It felt like survival of the fittest," Olatide recalled. The overwhelming pressure led to intense study sessions where she sometimes went 48 hours straight without sleep.

Despite the exhaustion and uncertainties that persisted throughout her five years of study—including facing personal challenges even weeks before her induction ceremony—Praise persevered.
