Oluseye Charges New OGITECH Student Leaders on Accountability and Service
The Rector of Ogun State Institute of Technology, OGITECH, Igbesa, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, has inaugurated the newly elected executive members of the Students’ Union Government, SUG, and Students’ Representative Council, SRC, of the institution.
The inauguration took place on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the Prince Dapo Twins Lecture Theatre with principal officers, deans, directors, heads of departments, staff and students in attendance.
Speaking at the ceremony, Oluseye thanked God for the successful conduct of the students’ elections and the inauguration of the new leadership.
The Rector commended the outgoing SUG executive, led by Comrade Iloh Fadilu, for its dedication, perseverance and service to the student body throughout its tenure.

He said the management of the Institute remained committed to supporting student leadership that promotes peace, accountability and academic excellence.
Oluseye charged the newly inaugurated executive members to prioritise the welfare of students, work closely with the Management, and introduce fresh ideas and initiatives that would contribute to the growth and development of the institution.
In his goodwill message, the outgoing SUG President, Comrade Iloh Fadilu, appreciated the Rector for his leadership, and described him as an indefatigable Rector who had helped create a peaceful and conducive environment for students.
Fadilu congratulated the new executive members and urged them to uphold good conduct and remain committed to representing the interests of the entire student body.
The new SUG President, Comrade Ajibola Toheeb Olakunle, expressed appreciation to the Institute’s Management for its support and student-focused leadership.
Olakunle particularly commended the introduction of e-voting during the students’ election, describing the process as transparent and credible.
He pledged to give his best in office, calling on the newly inaugurated executive and SRC members to work together in unity and cooperation to ensure a successful tenure and strengthen the voice of students.
He also appreciated the outgoing administration for successfully completing its tenure and for laying what he described as a strong foundation for the new leadership to build upon.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Sulaiman Aminu, in his vote of thanks, commended the Oluseye-led administration for its leadership and commitment to the growth and development of the Institute.
Mr. Aminu urged the new student leaders to focus on initiatives that would advance the interests and welfare of OGITECH students while contributing to the overall development of the institution.
With the inauguration, the new SUG and SRC executive members have formally assumed office, ushering in a new administration at the institution.
