Professor Abubakar Ngaski Elected New ASUU Chairman of UDUS Chapter

Professor Abubakar Abdullahi Ngaski has been elected as the new Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) Chapter. The election concluded a transition process for the union's executive leadership at the institution.

Professor Ngaski, a prominent figure within the university's academic community, currently serves as the Head of the Department (HOD) of Agricultural Economics in the Faculty of Agriculture.

His extensive experience in both academia and administrative roles is expected to guide the chapter in addressing key issues relating to staff welfare, academic standards, and national educational policies. The new executive is tasked with continuing the union’s mandate of promoting qualitative university education and advocating for the interests of its members within the university and nationally.

The university administration and the general ASUU membership have extended their congratulations to Professor Ngaski and the new executive council, wishing them a productive tenure.
