Rivers State University Announces 44th Matriculation Ceremony for 2025/2026 Academic Session

Rivers State University (RSU) has officially released details for its 44th Matriculation Ceremony, marking the formal induction of fresh students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The ceremony is scheduled as follows:

• Date: Wednesday, 28th January 2026
• Time: 9:00 a.m.
• Venue: University Convocation Arena

According to a notice signed by the Acting Registrar, Dr. Idanyingi F. Daminabo, all registered fresh students are required to collect their academic gowns from their respective Faculty Officers starting Friday, 23rd January 2026.

Requirements for Gown Collection:

• Evidence of payment of Acceptance Fee and other mandatory charges
• Two recent passport photographs
• A printed copy of the online admission letter, along with a valid residential address and phone number

Return Policy:
All matriculating students must return their gowns by Friday, 30th January 2026.

• Penalty: ₦5,000 per day for late return (up to one week)
• After one week, the student’s portal will be deactivated and can only be reopened upon payment of ₦10,000
