Seven Teachers Arrested Over Exam Malpractice in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has confirmed the arrest of seven teachers for alleged involvement in examination malpractice during a statewide assessment.

According to SUBEB Chairman, Haruna Musa, the teachers were handed over to security agencies for investigation. He stressed that the assessment is part of ongoing efforts to improve teaching standards, ensure accountability, and retain only qualified educators in the system.

Over 8,400 teachers participated in the Teacher Training Needs Assessment aimed at identifying gaps and strengthening education quality across the state.
