Taraba State University Matriculates Over 6,000 Fresh Students

Taraba State University (TSU) has matriculated over 6,000 fresh students for the 2023/2024 academic session. The matriculation ceremony, held at the university's sports complex, was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako.

In his address, Prof. Bako described the occasion as a time of joy for the newly admitted students, emphasizing the importance of upholding the university's rules and regulations. He urged the students to maintain a peaceful and cordial atmosphere, shun social vices, and utilize resources judiciously.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the university's achievements, including accreditation of 53 academic programs, renovation of hostels, reduction of school fees, and establishment of new faculties and institutes. He also commended the contributions of the Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, towards improving the university's infrastructure and academic standards.

The Registrar, Dr. Joseph Bibinu, administered the matriculation oath, with management staff and other key university officials in attendance.

The ceremony marked the formal acceptance of the new students into the TSU community, with the Vice-Chancellor congratulating them on their matriculation and wishing them a successful academic journey.
