TASFUED Opens 2026/2027 Post-UTME, Direct Entry Admission Screening, Sets 160 Cut-Off Mark

Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED), Ijagun, Ogun State, has commenced applications for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry admission screening exercise.

The online screening is compulsory for all candidates seeking admission into the university through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry.

Eligibility requirements

The university said the following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:

• Candidates who selected TASFUED as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME and scored at least 160.
• Candidates who will be at least 16 years old by October 1, 2026.
• Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) graduates of TASFUED who selected the university as their first choice and scored a minimum of 160 in the UTME.
• Direct Entry candidates, including JUPEB graduates of TASFUED, who obtained the JAMB Direct Entry form and selected the university as their first-choice institution.
• Candidates who scored 160 and above in the 2026 UTME but did not initially choose TASFUED as their first choice. Such candidates must complete a change of institution through JAMB before the close of the screening registration.

Direct Entry requirements

Direct Entry applicants are required to submit copies of their online admission screening report and notification of TASFUED Diploma or NCE results to the university's Admission Office in Ijagun.

General admission requirements

Candidates must possess at least five relevant O'Level credit passes obtained in not more than two sittings.

Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory for admission into all programmes.

Applicants must also upload their O'Level results on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before the close of the screening exercise.

How to apply

Candidates are to apply through the university's admission portal by:

• Creating an application account using their JAMB registration number.
• Verifying their email address.
• Paying the prescribed application fee online.
• Completing the online screening form.
• Fetching and verifying their O'Level results through the integrated verification system.
• Reviewing and certifying all submitted information.
• Printing their application and screening slips after successful submission.

The university noted that applicants' biodata, UTME subjects, scores and programme choices will be automatically retrieved from JAMB CAPS and cannot be edited during the application process.

Candidates who do not meet the requirements for their first-choice programme can use the integrated Programme Advisor to identify other programmes that match their UTME and O'Level subject combinations.

Screening method

TASFUED stated that admission screening will be based on a point grading system using candidates' UTME scores and grades in the five relevant O'Level subjects required for their chosen programmes.

Applicants are advised to consult the 2026 JAMB Brochure for the specific subject requirements for their preferred courses before completing the screening exercise.

Application deadline

The university announced that registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening commenced on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, and will close on Friday, July 10, 2026.
