Teenage Thief Caught in Daytime Burglary at Federal University Kashere

A 15-17-year-old boy was apprehended on Tuesday evening for stealing a phone and eyeglasses from a community member's house within the Federal University Kashere premises.

 

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred between 4:30-5:00 pm when the suspect was spotted entering the house. Alert neighbors quickly raised an alarm, prompting a hot pursuit by residents.

The suspect was eventually caught at the back of the formal female hostel, now converted to a male hostel. To prevent mob justice, the suspect was handed over to local hunters for safekeeping.

 

This incident has raised concerns about security within the university premises. The university authorities have been urged to review and strengthen security measures to prevent future occurrences.
