Financial industry is the heart of every robust economy, information technology (IT) has become the back bone of the banking sector. Reliance in E-banking innovation by its providers to offer services make it imperative to understand how various aspects of consumer behavior affect this innovation and their responses to qualitative service delivery.
Therefore E-banking is the use of electronics means in doing banking transaction, without necessarily going into the banking hall for financial transaction. In view of this, this paper has undergone a critical literature review by previous researchers with the objective of examining the impact of E-banking on consumers in furtherance of this, the increased adoption of the internet as a channel of communication contributes to a gradual reduction in overhead expenses (marketing IT, and staff). This paper also intends to do a critical review of scholarly and organizational literature regarding the Impact of E-banking to determine whether e-banking has any tangible impact on banks performances on this subject and customers satisfaction. By providing high level of quality services through online transaction channels, it is obvious that, operating costs minimization and revenue maximization could be achieved effortlessly.
