Two AAUA Students Arrested for Alleged Drugging and Rape

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested two students of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA), Akungba-Akoko, in connection with the alleged drugging and sexual assault of a 20-year-old female student.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the victim was invited to the residence of her long-time friend, 19-year-old Queen Sodo, who is also a student at the university. The victim accepted a drink from Sodo, which was later found to be laced with a sedative, rendering her unconscious.

The suspects, including Sodo and a male accomplice, have confessed to their involvement in the crime. Key evidence, including the drugged drink, has been recovered and identified by the victim and suspects.

The victim is receiving medical attention and is stable. The suspects are in police custody and will be transferred to the Gender Desk Office for further investigation and prosecution .
