UDUS Hosts EU Delegation for Partnership Talks

Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) welcomed a delegation of ambassadors from European Union (EU) member states, led by EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Gautier Mignot, on May 6, 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bashiru Garba, emphasized the university's commitment to fostering partnerships with the EU and European universities to drive Nigeria's socioeconomic progress.

Potential areas of collaboration discussed included health and pharmaceutical research, sustainable energy solutions, security, and human rights. The EU Ambassador reiterated the EU's dedication to democracy and sustainable development, highlighting their investments in Nigeria's growth. The event featured interactive discussions with UDUS staff, students, and vice-chancellors from other institutions.
