UDUS Students Appeal for Extension of School Fees Payment Deadline

Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) students are urging the school management to extend the payment deadline for tuition fees, citing difficulties in meeting the March 24th, 2025, deadline.
The students, many of whom are self-sponsored, expressed anxiety and concern about the strict deadline, which may lead to deferring their academic session if not met. The management's decision to rule out temporary examination cards has further exacerbated the situation.
Students, including Umar Zainab, a 300-level linguistic student, and Sulaimon Sodiq, a 400-level economics student, have appealed to the management to show leniency and extend the payment period.
The Students Caretaker Committee (SU-CTC) has been working tirelessly to find a solution, exploring possible means to provide relief to affected students.
Professor U. Aliyu, Dean of Students' Affairs, emphasized that university programs cannot be run on credits and expressed disappointment at students' failure to pay registration fees. However, a meeting is scheduled to take place within the management to decide on the matter.
The students' union has suggested alternative solutions, including offering relief through the Nelfund loan or prioritizing students who have submitted evidence of payment and verified their accounts.
