UI Partners with GMAC to Connect Students with European Post-Graduate Opportunities
The University of Ibadan (UI) has partnered with the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), Europe, to connect Nigerian undergraduates with post-graduate opportunities in Europe.
The University of Ibadan (UI) has recently entered into a significant partnership with the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), Europe. This collaboration aims to bridge undergraduate students in Nigeria with post-graduate educational opportunities across Europe.
The 2024 GMAC Master’s Tour, titled ‘Study in Europe,’ will focus on delivering comprehensive information about educational, scholarship, and career prospects in Europe to final-year undergraduates at the University of Ibadan.
During the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony, Professor Oluyemisi Bamgbose, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Strategic Partnerships, represented Vice-Chancellor Professor Kayode Adebowale. Professor Bamgbose expressed gratitude to GMAC for choosing UI, highlighting the university’s esteemed position as the top institution in Nigeria and West Africa and the sixth best in Africa.
Professor Bamgbose emphasized UI’s commitment to excellence and its impressive global ranking, noting the university’s strong legacy and its ongoing efforts to maintain its premier status. She also praised UI’s Postgraduate College as one of the finest in Africa and assured GMAC of UI’s dedication to fostering international strategic partnerships.
Ms. Sara Strafino, Market Development Manager for Europe at GMAC, outlined the “Europe meets Africa initiative.” This program is designed to enhance graduate management education and connect African students with valuable opportunities, thereby shaping their futures through global talent exchange.
GMAC, a renowned association of leading business schools worldwide, supports graduate management education through research, industry conferences, recruiting tools, and assessments.
