The event took place at the Senate Lounge, 1st Floor of the Senate House, University of Lagos.

Welcoming the new participants, Dr. Simeon Ifere, Director of the DBA programme, provided an overview of the curriculum, faculty, and the relevance of the programme in today’s evolving business environment.
In his remarks, Prof. Mike Adebamowo, Executive Director of ULBS, expressed gratitude to the University Management for its continued support. He revealed that nearly 100% of the first and second DBA cohorts are set to graduate by January 2026, describing this as a reflection of the programme’s steady growth and academic quality. He further assured the new intakes of a transformative learning experience that would justify their investment of time and resources.

Representing the University Management, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, congratulated the participants and encouraged them to remain optimistic about Nigeria’s future. “Do not run away from Nigeria,” she advised. “There is a future for the country.”
Other notable moments of the evening included a goodwill message from the Director of the Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Centre (ESDC), Prof. Sunday Adebisi, a vote of thanks by the class representative, Mrs. Bukola Ayinla of the Lagos State Health Service Commission, as well as light refreshments and networking among the participants.
The event reflected ULBS’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, leadership development, and collaboration among business professionals shaping the future of management practice in Nigeria and beyond.
