The Management of the University of Abuja has approved an end-of-year break for both staff and students.

According to the announcement, the University will be closed for all academic and administrative activities from Wednesday, December 17, 2025, to Sunday, January 4, 2026. Normal academic and administrative activities are scheduled to resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.

The directive, however, exempts staff on essential services, including the Safety Unit, Health Services, Works and Services, and other critical departments and units. These staff members are required to remain at their duty posts throughout the break period to ensure uninterrupted essential operations.

The University Council, Senate, and Management extended goodwill messages to staff and students, wishing them a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance.
