The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the opening of its portal for payment of the prescribed Acceptance Fee by candidates offered provisional admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the opening of its portal for payment of the prescribed Acceptance Fee by candidates offered provisional admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The University stated that the portal for payment of the Acceptance Fee will open on Monday, August 24, 2026.

All candidates who have been offered admission are advised to accept their admission offers on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) as soon as possible, if they have not already done so.

The University noted that acceptance of the admission offer on JAMB CAPS is a prerequisite for completing the subsequent admission and registration processes.

Candidates should thereafter log on to the University’s admission portal using the link below to confirm their admission status and proceed with payment of the prescribed Acceptance Fee:

Deadline for Payment of Acceptance Fee

The deadline for payment of the Acceptance Fee is Monday, September 21, 2026, which is four weeks from the date of opening of the payment portal.

All candidates are strongly advised to complete the payment process on or before the stipulated deadline.

The University warned that failure to pay the Acceptance Fee within the prescribed period may lead to the withdrawal of the admission offer.

Candidates are further advised to make payments only through the University’s approved payment platform and retain their payment receipts and other relevant documents for the subsequent clearance and registration processes.

Candidates are encouraged to regularly check the University’s official communication channels for authentic information and further updates concerning the admission, clearance and registration processes.
