UNICAL Schedules Mandatory NYSC Pre-Mobilisation Briefing for Final Year Students
The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has announced a pre-mobilisation briefing for all prospective corps members among its final year students ahead of the 2026 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exercise.

According to a memo issued by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Eyo Mensah, the briefing will hold on Tuesday, 10th March 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Godswill Akpabio International Conference Centre, Calabar.
The session will be conducted by the Director of Corps Mobilisation from NYSC Headquarters and is intended to guide students on mobilisation procedures and mandatory requirements for the national service programme.

All Faculty Officers and Heads of Department have been instructed to notify and ensure the attendance of all final year students, as participation is mandatory for all prospective corps members.
The briefing aims to support NYSC’s nationwide efforts to ensure data integrity and proper internal validation for all corps-producing institutions. Students will receive guidance on registration procedures, documentation, reconciliation of personal data, confirmation on JAMB and NYSC Senate Lists, and processes for obtaining exemption certificates if applicable.
The 2026 NYSC calendar indicates Batch A mobilisation will begin between January and February, with online registration scheduled for February, and orientation camps opening in March.
Students are urged to attend punctually and come prepared with all necessary documents to facilitate a smooth mobilisation process.
