The University of Lagos has launched a Smart Identity Card platform as part of its ongoing digital transformation agenda, marking a major step toward secure and integrated campus services.
The initiative was implemented through a strategic partnership with HECKERBELLA LIMITED and LOTUS BANK.
The Smart ID was officially unveiled on Friday, February 27, 2026, during a ceremony themed “UNILAG Reimagined: One Identity, One System, One Digital Future.” The platform aims to consolidate multiple functions into a single digital identity, enhancing security, streamlining administrative processes, and promoting a more connected campus experience for students, staff, and affiliates.
The initiative reflects UNILAG’s commitment to innovation, digital excellence, and the adoption of modern technologies to improve operational efficiency and user experience across the University.
