UNILORIN Alumnus Francis Taiwo Solanke Named Nigeria’s Overall Best Primary School Teacher

In a historic recognition of pedagogical excellence, Mr. Francis Taiwo Solanke, a graduate of the Department of Educational Management at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), has emerged as the Overall Best Primary School Teacher in Nigeria for the 2025/2026 academic session. 

A dedicated educator at Ansar-ud-Deen Main School I, Abeokuta, Mr. Solanke was formally honoured at the National Teachers’ Summit held at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The federal and state governments have rewarded Mr. Solanke’s stellar contributions to the Nigerian basic education sector with a life-changing package:

A New Home: Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State presented him with a two-bedroom bungalow under the State Housing Scheme, with the choice of location left entirely to the awardee.

Luxury Mobility: He received the keys to a brand-new car, donated by the Federal Government.

Financial Grant: A ₦50 million cash prize was previously awarded to him during the summit in Abuja.
